Jackson’s Wars: don’t waste time with Amazon

[UPDATE: As of May 24, Jackson’s Wars was back in stock at Amazon.ca, shipping fast, and available for $55 with free Prime delivery.] My latest book Jackson’s Wars was officially released five days ago, and it’s receiving a roller-coaster ride from Amazon in pricing and shipping. Today I see on amazon.ca they’ve knocked ten dollars off, but they’re also saying it “usually ships in one to two months,” which is a ludicrous wait. If you want to read it (and why wouldn’t you), you have many other options for getting a copy, from ordering through your favourite local bookstore to checking out other online retailers (google “Jackson’s Wars” and see what comes up, and use the quotation marks to avoid the hits on US president Andrew Jackson and his Indian wars). It will also be turning up in art gallery stores. You can make it easy on yourself by ordering it through the publisher, McGill-Queen’s. Also note that an e-book version is on the way.
