From 1977 to 1980, I studied fine art at McMaster University, escaping with a BA. In 2018, after many previous fits and starts, I finally began devoting some serious time to landscape art. I draw rather than paint, creating (mostly) monochrome images mainly using conté crayon and charcoal. It involves preliminary on-site sketches, studies, and finished drawings, aided by photographs.
